I am a public relations student at DePaul University with an interest in the publishing industry. I am also currently interning as a public relations intern at TvS Media Group, combining my passions for communications and books. I can pull media lists, track media coverage, draft press materials and create social media content. I also love discussing the newest releases and up-and-coming authors. About Me
Growing up in the arctic tundra formerly known as Minnesota, I spent a lot of time reading. For every one minute I was out in subzero weather, five were spent indoors reading next to the fireplace. In warm weather, fresh air would mean reading on our tree swing in natural light.
As I got older, my passion for reading turned into a curiosity about writing. So many of my favorite authors were able to tell beautiful stories, why couldn’t I? I began to write occasionally, which turned into constantly. This lead me to my high school newspaper, an experience for which I am incredibly grateful.
When I am not asking people their favorite books (got a recommendation? email me), or adding books to my ever growing pile (shout out Chicago Public Library), you can find me pining after Bon Apetit and NYT Cooking recipes.
I am also passionate about politics on a national/local level. With the amount of misinformation in the world, it is important to me to learn about and understand complex problems and ideas such as climate change policy and the ins and outs of America’s democratic-republic.
